TV Antenna Plans

I made a set of tv antenna plans over at www.tvantennaplans.com.  Technically, the antenna plans work great, better than many commercial antennas according to the (over 100) comments people have left.

Although modeled after some YouTube videos I found, I researched the antenna design and dimensions to identify the correct measurements, as different videos used slightly different measurements.

The design really works great, and people love it.  The crazy part is, I never actually built the thing.  Granted, I probably did more research than just about anyone that did actually make one, but still, I never built it.

It was just too ugly.  That's the number one complaint.  Ugly.

As you may be able to tell from this site, I'm a fan of mission furniture.  I like the general look, the design process, and actual construction.  (View my other mission projects.)  Spurred on by bad receptions with my commercial antenna, I decided it was time to make a mission style design for my standard antenna plans.

My new design needed to be mission style, and be something more apealing than a board with wires and screws.  Here's what I came up with.  After I had the rough design in my head, actual construction took about 5 hours.  It cost me about $12 in supplies.
